The specific publication from Caught Offside stated that Manchester City are prepared to listen to offers for both Mahrez and Sterling. Algeria international Mahrez and England international Sterling have two years left to run on their respective deals at the Etihad Stadium. It was reported that the Citizens want to sell both players as they try to balance the books with an £88m deal agreed for the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa. Manchester City will only listen to reasonable offers for Sterling and Mahrez who have both been linked with a move to North London this summer.

Algeria national team talisman Mahrez has been touted as a possible transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur as City try to sign Harry Kane. Mahrez could be included in the City deal for Spurs striker Kane. On his part, Sterling has been linked with Arsenal where he could team up with manager Mikel Arteta who was previously the assistant manager at Manchester City.

Sterling and Mahrezhave played their respective parts in the Manchester City squad that won the Premier League title in three of the last four seasons. The Citizens won back-to-back league titles under manager Pep Guardiola between 2017 and 2019 before they were dethroned by Liverpool towards the end of the penultimate campaign but they were able to reclaim their title at the end of last season.

Algeria international Mahrez was a consistent performer for Manchester City as they won both the Premier League title and the Carabao Cup title. He scored 14 goals and provided nine assists in all competitions. On his part, Sterling struggled by his high standards but still managed to score 14 goals and also added 12 assists in all competitions.
